A Brief History of the Alfa Plam Brand 

The company's story begins in the distant year of 1948, when the urban craft and service company "Metalac" was founded, which operated and developed successfully until 1971.

In 1962, a factory for metal products and appliances with wide applications was built in the industrial district of Vranje. It’s name was "Alfa-Vranje" and initially, 87 employees worked there.

1967 – A licensing agreement was signed for the production of "Alfa-Potez" stoves in Vranje under a license from the French manufacturer Henri Potez.

In 1971, collaboration was developed between "Metalac", which had 200 employees and produced solid and liquid fuel stoves, and "Alfa", which, with 760 employees, manufactured state-of-the-art liquid fuel stoves.

1970s – "Alfa" expanded its product range with solid fuel stoves, gas stoves, and heating systems.

1990 – The company name was changed to "Alfa-Plam."

1998 – Production began on electric cookers with ceramic tops, ISO 9001 was introduced, and the company ownership began to transform.

2000 – "Alfa-Plam" was registered as a joint-stock company with more than 70% ownership distributed among employees and retired workers.

2003 – Serial production of a new solid fuel stove, "Alfa Term 20", began. The first showroom was opened in Vranje, showcasing the entire product range of the company.

2007 – Production of pellet stoves began using Italian technology. Additionally, new equipment for laser cutting of metals was introduced, funded with the company's resources.

2008 – New technology with full equipment for wet painting was introduced. A new logo and slogan were adopted:  “Alfa-Plam - Safety and Warmth” . The company now employed 880 workers.

2010 – A laser cutter and stamping machine were purchased. Serial production of a solid fuel stove for underfloor heating, "Alfa Term 27", began.

2011 – Production of pellet stoves started.

In 2015, AlfaPlam took a strategic step by acquiring the Italian brand "CALUX", and their product range became part of the AlfaPlam brand under the name PREMIUM BRANDS.

Modern Production of Alfa-Plam

Today, Alfa-Plam Serbia is one of the largest manufacturers and exporters of heating appliances and cookers, primarily designed for households. Established in 1948, AlfaPlam is among the leading companies in Southeastern Europe.  Currently, production is focused on the following main directions:

• Fireplaces, cookers, and pellet boilers
• Wood-burning cookers, fireplaces, and solid fuel boilers
• Built-in fireplaces and cookers with water jackets
• Electric and combined cookers
• Gas appliances

The assortment is continuously updated to meet market needs, and new technologies are introduced to ensure compliance with European and Russian standards for quality, safety, and usage. AlfaPlam ranks among the top 5 manufacturers in Europe, exporting to over 40 countries worldwide. The company is one of the few manufacturers offering four types of surface protection for its appliances. In 2017, the company reported nearly 185,000 units produced under the AlfaPlam brand.

In 2015, AlfaPlam acquired the Italian brand "CALUX," and their product range became part of the AlfaPlam brand under the name PREMIUM BRANDS.

Pellet fireplaces are available in various colors and modern designs, providing an optimal solution for heating residential spaces up to 180 sq.m. The Italian processor control in AlfaPlam fireplaces offers maximum comfort, safety, and quiet operation. The panels are made of high-quality steel, protected with special thermal paint and lacquer coating, and the combustion chamber is crafted from high-temperature-resistant cast iron. All necessary components for connecting to a heating system are built into the unit, while quality seals prevent smoke from escaping into the room.

AlfaPlam's product range includes both air-heating pellet fireplaces and water-jacket pellet fireplaces with various heating capacities for single or multi-story residential spaces. Some models feature additional airflow fans, flow meters, and special turbulators for easy cleaning without disassembling the fireplace.
 

AlfaPlam also offers a rich selection of multi-functional pellet cookers, distinguished by high performance for heating and food preparation. A model designed for central heating is characterized by high pellet utilization efficiency. Weekly programming and operation at five power levels ranging from 6 to 20 kW are factory-equipped, along with an expansion tank, water pump, and safety valve. AlfaPlam also provides models of multi-functional pellet stoves for underfloor heating.

Models with water jackets are particularly suitable for central heating, allowing efficient heat distribution throughout the entire heating system. Thanks to the durable steel plate and high-quality materials, these appliances ensure long life and efficiency.

Pellet Boilers

Pellet boilers by Alfa-Plam are highly efficient heating appliances designed for central heating in residential and commercial buildings. Equipped with a pellet hopper, water pump, and safety valve, these boilers are convenient for integration into existing heating systems.
